Dr. Stephen Wisniewski joined the Robbinsville Public Schools as the Secondary Directory of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in 2022, before he was appointed the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in 2023. He has over 24 years of experience in public education, with the first five years as an elementary and middle school teacher. Dr. Wisniewski’s administrative career began as an Assistant Principal in Montvale, NJ, and then as a Principal in West Milford, NJ. In 2012, Dr. Wisniewski’s family relocated to Central New Jersey where he served as the Principal of the Millstone Elementary School before his appointment as the Superintendent/Principal of the Bradley Beach School District in 2015.

As the Superintendent/Principal of the Bradley Beach School District, Dr. Wisniewski oversaw all aspects of the school district including curriculum and instruction, personnel and fiscal management, facility operations, and labor relations. In his role as the educational leader of a K-8 school district, Dr. Wisniewski was called upon to complete all aspects of these tasks, and this experience provided the direct knowledge needed to be successful on a larger scale. Dr. Wisniewski’s leadership resulted in the development of the Bradley Beach five-year strategic plan, the creation of six school budgets during a time when Bradley Beach systematically received less financial support from the state, and the negotiation of two teacher contracts with the Bradley Beach Education Association. Dr. Wisniewski was able to successfully lead Bradley Beach through the COVID pandemic and he learned valuable lessons in communication, planning, and the ability to act fluidly to address new challenges. Since coming to Robbinsville, Dr. Wisniewski has helped the Robbinsville School District develop new Health and Physical Education Curriculum, he worked with administration to successfully pass the district’s NJQSAC review, chaired the committee to develop a new five-year strategic plan for the district, worked with administration to develop a new curriculum warehouse, and he is addressing learning loss through a deep dive into data.

Dr. Wisniewski resides in Jackson, NJ, with his wife Erica, and his three daughters, Abby, Emma, and Quinn. In his personal time, Dr. Wisniewski enjoys cooking, traveling, and coaching youth sports, as he has volunteered as a travel soccer coach for the Jackson Soccer Club since 2017. He earned his doctoral degree in educational administration and supervision, with his dissertation focusing on technology integration from Seton Hall University in 2010. Dr. Wisniewski also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, and a M.A. in administration and supervision from St. Peter’s University.
